Mindfulness loves company. It has been the experience of millions of meditators, beginners and veterans alike, that practicing with a group or community is tremendously helpful. There is some can’t-put-your-finger-on-it quality of meditating in a group that gives us strength and encouragement.
In all of our courses and trainings, we help create community, around practicing mindfulness, and learning how to teach it. We at the Engaged Mindfulness Institute have been offering online education for years, and are always pioneering new ways of creating community across distance.
While much of our online community is reserved for participants and graduates of our trainings, our daily virtual meditation group is open to anyone, and we hope that you will join us.
What is it?
Every weekday at 12:00pm EST, we close our emails, click this link, turn on our webcams, and meditate together for twenty minutes. After, we wave goodbye and go about the rest of our day, hopefully a little lighter, knowing there are others out there practicing, and supporting each other’s practice.
