Nonprofit management executive with over 15 years experience internationally and in the US. Received Mindfulness Facilitator Certification from the Engaged Mindfulness Institute with focus on at-risk populations and underserved communities. Current experience is with a nonprofit organization that provides treatment and services for people with substance abuse disorders. Population includes people who have been incarcerated, are homeless or who have marginal employment opportunities

Worked as a journalist and editor of a development magazine in Nairobi, Kenya and for the US Department of State in Nairobi as manager of a small business grant program to assist marginalized populations to develop income generating projects; traveled throughout Kenya visiting cooperatives, women’s group, slum areas, and refugee camps, to assess projects and to provide grants for eligible programs. Represented the US Ambassador at development projects throughout Kenya. Was selected by British High Commission in Kenya to travel to England to lecture at British agricultural institutes, nongovernmental agencies and aid organizations on sustainable development for Kenya.
