Dan Carlin is a lawyer and the co-founder of the Berkeley Initiative for Mindfulness in Law, a research and training organization based at UC Berkeley School of Law that helped catalyze the spread of mindfulness in legal education and in the legal profession. Since 2015 he has been a teacher and coordinator for the San Jose Project, an effort to introduce mindfulness throughout the criminal justice system of one Northern California county. He has offered trainings to judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, among others.
Prior to his law career, Dan was a magazine and newspaper reporter and worked as a management consultant to Fortune 1000 companies.
