Corey Castle is a social worker (MSW) and mindfulness facilitator (300hrs) devoted to supporting mindfulness in the African American community and communities of color through meditation, mindful movement, and the healing power of music. Corey is a graduate of Howard University school of social work, mindfulness facilitator with Institute of African American Mindfulness (IAAM), and a Wu Style Tai Chi practitioner.
Through mindfulness Corey is able to engage the world with an open heart and a greater sense of friendliness to his own being. Currently he facilitates mindfulness groups with social workers and other social service staff weekly. Additionally he facilitates mindfulness groups with seniors and occasionally at the monthly POC sangha. Through a range of mindful techniques Corey supports participants in their own self care and compassion for themselves and others.
